You’re probably wondering: “What Is ‘Buy Now Pay Later’?”… well, it’s as simple and straightforward as it sounds! “Buy Now Pay Later” (BNPL) is a payment option you can select in our scheduling software that allows you to pay for your home inspection services over time. This service is different from the “Pay at Close” option, offering you flexibility during the home-buying process, relieving the stresses (and financial strains) of making sure your biggest investment is properly inspected to your satisfaction!
We understand the home buying process can be a stressful time, and we want to make that as easy as possible for you – the Buy Now Pay Later option gives you that little bit of breathing room, allowing you to begin payments on your Home Inspection a month after it is completed.
Here’s how the BNPL process works:
- You choose to pay for your services via a BNPL provider.
- You will go through a quick approval process (soft credit check) by providing some basic info to the provider. If you choose to complete the payment using the BNPL option, the provider may report the account to the credit bureaus approximately 30 days after the purchase.
- If you are approved, you will be presented with options for paying for the home inspection services you want completed over time; the specifics of the plan are based on the provider chosen and your credit health.
- Your payments to the BNPL provider will begin after a month based on your agreed upon payment plan.
It’s that easy! The BNPL payment plan you choose will determine when you make your payments. Some plans offer an initial payment and then a payment every couple of weeks for a total of 4 payments… other plans offer an initial payment with subsequent monthly payments. This breaks up the important investment in your home inspection over time, allowing you to keep more cash on hand for closing, or other needs you may have in mind! The Buy Now Pay Later option also takes some of that stress away… allowing you to focus on the exciting parts of the process – like moving into your new home!
